The Ross Family

Hope Builders Stories

This Saturday HopeBUILDERS is partnering with The Whole Person to complete a bathroom modification for a very well deserving family. The Ross family have 16 dependents; either adopted, foster or biological children. They have adopted Tyler, who has severe Cerebral Palsy and requires 24 hour care.

Their home does not have a handicap accessible bathroom, so they currently use a bath chair in the bathtub with a spray arm for Tyler. This has worked for the family for many years, as one of their older sons was able to lift Tyler into the bath chair. However, said son will be heading off to college in the fall and his parents are not able to lift Tyler themselves.

We will be replacing their tub with a roll-in shower for Tyler and also installing a door from the adjacent bedroom to the bathroom.

We will be posting more about the Ross family in the coming days. Follow us on social media for all the updates!
