Interested in volunteering with us? You’ve come to the right place. On this page you can find everything you need to know about volunteering with HopeBUILDERS.
HopeBUILDERS is pleased to provide individual volunteers and large groups with opportunities that are both fun and rewarding. Our goal is to give volunteers a meaningful experience, while at the same time make our clients’ lives more livable.
About Our Projects:
Each of our projects are led by an experienced Project Manager who plans and designs the projects. This makes it easy for you, the volunteer, so on the actual workday you can show up, ready to work! While all materials will be provided, volunteers are always welcome to bring tools to help with the project, such as gloves, drills, goggles, etc. It is suggested that volunteers wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes.
Our most common projects are wheelchair ramps. Typically, volunteers will meet at a worksite at 8:30 a.m. and we try to wrap up and leave by 4:00 p.m. Lunch is provided, hours are flexible and all skill levels are welcome. Did we mention that our volunteers also get a free t-shirt?
Other projects we consider doing, subject to appropriately skilled volunteers include:
- Door Widening
- Bathroom Modification
Volunteering for Large Groups or Corporations:
HopeBUILDERS is also happy to coordinate projects for large groups or corporations. If you would like to set up a group volunteering opportunity, please email us for more info.
Ready to Volunteer?
Please email us with your availability for our upcoming workdays and we will also place you on our volunteer mailing list. We request that each volunteer completes and signs our volunteer release form. Please indicate the types of projects you prefer and bring the printed form with you on your first workday. See you soon!
