Ways You Can Support HopeBUILDERS

HopeBUILDERS relies on the Kansas City community to help fund and provide labor for the numerous homeowners currently on our waitinglist. There are a variety of ways that you can help us support these homeowners.

Share the experience and personal satisfaction of helping make a huge difference in someone's life. Look below at several differentoptions and select one that fits best with your desires.

A) Volunteer Your Time and Skills

Your skill and abilities can be put to good use in one of our projects. We have ongoing needs for carpenters and other skilled tradesin our projects. However, if you are not handy person, but interested in learning, we have a variety of projects that provide trainingopportunities, working beside skilled people.

Corporations, this is a great way to engage your employees together in giving back to your community, and achieve bonding at the same time.Set up a work day for your volunteer group today.

B) Donate Needed Project Materials

HopeBUILDERS organizes all the volunteers and provides project managers to run the projects. However, we rely on individual andcorporate donations to buy the materials.

Those of you fortunate enough to have funds available can support projects with material costs as low as $500, or as high as $5,000 — andyou can choose which project you would like to support.

Or, maybe you can only support part of a project. You can donate funds to provide any of the following needs:

  • $10 = Box of Nails
  • $35 = Roof Shingles
  • $50 = Painting supplies
  • $75 = Window
  • $100 = Kitchen Sink
  • $150 = Front Door or toilet
  • $500 = Siding
  • $1000 = Ramp

C) Make a Financial Contribution

You can choose to adopt a specific project, or provide a more general donation in whatever amount you are comfortable. The majority(greater than 90%) of donation funding received is used to provide clients with home improvements and modifications allowing them tocontinue living in their homes.
